What do you need to know?

In order to do this estimation yourself as accurate as possible, you will need to know:

• how many square meters need to be tiled
• the type of tiles that will be fitted; such as ceramic, porcelain, stone or mosaics
• the substrate on which the tiles are going to be laid; such as concrete floor, wood floor or wall

When ordering your tiles, please purchase 10% more to allow for cutting.

For an estimation of the time that this would take, divide the total of the estimation of the costs you calculated and divide it by 140 and that would give you an idea of how many days this job would take.

What these prices include and what they don’t?

These prices include:

• bonding the area to be tiled
• removal of appliances; such as cupboard, sink, etc...
• premium quality matting for wood floor when applicable
• laying the tiles
• application of natural stone impregnator sealer when applicable
• premium quality adhesive
• premium quality grout flexible and waterproof
• application of damp proof silicone sealant when applicable
• pre-cleaning after grouting

These prices don’t include:

• parking fees and congestion charge when applicable
• waterproofing shower (usually £60 when desired)
• door threshold (usually £10 per door for a good finish)
• tiles trim (usually £15 per 2.5m metal chrome trim)
• natural stone impregnator sealer when applicable (usually £25 per litre)
• removal of waste but we usually do it as a service for small quantity of waste
• damp proof silicone sealant cartridge (usually £10 per cartridge)
• bigger preparation such as tiles removal (£120 per day)
• fitting back appliances connected to water pipes; such as sink, toilet, etc...
  (getting a plumber to do this will ensure you that they have been fitted back properly and you'll be covered against water damage trough the Public Liability Insurance that a plumber should have and that cover this type of work)

Payment Terms

In order for us to purchase all the materials needed to do the job, 25% of the value of the job will be asked in advance.
Then £120 will be asked daily until the completion of the job.
At the completion of the job, the remaining balance will be asked.
